A skateboardfilm on frozen sand and water

Several years ago, when Jørn was living in Lofoten, Northern Norway, he noticed how the cold temperature had made one of the many sand beaches in Lofoten hard as concrete...

We are accustomed to see the skateboard being used in cities and on the hard asphalt. The skateboard is one of the strongest urban symbols. What happens when you put this in a completely new setting? This film shows the first attempt to bring skateboard into nature. We follow four of Norway's best skaters on their first try to skate on frozen sand beaches in northern Norway. The skaters does not only skate frozen beaches, they also try out a ramp built out of just sand and water. Join skaters in this poetic and playful encounter with the Arctic winter.
