Solstice 58.58° is a short film project documenting alternative ways to make an old journey…the trip to northernmost Scotland in search of pristine Atlantic waves and the liminal Solstice light with Easkey Britton, Sandy Kerr and Chris Noble.
Can you hear that? The cacophony of voices chanting and waves crashing? It’s a symphony of salvation for the waters of coastal south and south eastern Australia. Coastal-dwellers down under have risen like a king tide to say ‘no way Norway’, and the large numbers of surfers joining this chorus in the ‘fight for the bight’ is unprecedented.
Please join us for a day of action at SALT, including a panel discussion, a screening of Patagonia’s film NeverTown, music and of course the most Australian demonstration of them all - a ‘paddle out’ in front of the Oslo Opera House.
